Ubisoft has just announced at Gamescom that they will be releasing a new puzzle game for iPad and iPhone called Valiant Hearts: The Great War, which looks like it has the potential to be an instant classic. Bold claim, right? On iOS, games with great gameplay are not rare. Neither are games that look amazing. It’s rare when an iOS game manages to do both. While we haven’t yet played Valiant Hearts: The Great War, what we can glean from the teaser trailer is very promising.
On the surface, we have a game that looks like it’s been pulled from the pages of a comic book, and that has the supporting lore to boot. Of course, we don’t have to speculate too much, as Valiant Hearts has been available for PC, XBox 360/One and PS3/4 for a few months, and it’s been generally well reviewed.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War will hit iOS September 4th, with no announced price. The PC/Console game sells for $14.99, so that’s a safe bet, assuming Ubisoft decides not to go the free to play route.
