The long-anticipated Kickstarted God-game Godus, by developer Peter Molyneux, is now available on the App Store as a free to play game. Godus was the focus of some controversy some time ago after it was Kickstarted then released as an early access game having ignored legions of backers’ feedback. Godus costs $20 to play on the PC, which many user reviews are calling overpriced. Fortunately for mobile gaming fans, one of the primary criticisms is that it feels more like a mobile game than PC. Considering Godus is free on iOS, that preclude it form being download-worthy for your iPhone or iPad. Strangely, this iOS release has happened, despite Godus still being classified an Early Access game on Steam. While there’s certainly little harm in trying it, we advise holding off on spending money on in-app purchases until it develops more of a positive track record.
